Ji Lee

Title: Principal Analyst

Mr. Lee founded Northstar Technologies in 1992 when he was called upon to design a database program by The Southern California Gas Company (The Gas Company) to administer the bidding of capacity on the Transwestern and El Paso natural gas pipelines as part of the CPUC’s natural gas industry deregulation. Since then, Mr. Lee has worked extensively consulting financial institutions on all aspects of information technology from network architectures and security to writing disaster recovery plans and IT policies and procedures. With 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Mr. Lee is currently positioning Northstar Technologies for the post PC era and the inevitable move into the Cloud.

Michael M. Park

Title: Senior Analyst

Mr. Park has worked for 12 years with Northstar Technologies serving as the lead technical resource for most of that period. He has over 15 years of day-to-day experience in information technology. His early experience as a support engineer in a financial institution paved the road for him to join Northstar in 2000, where he helped support many banks with their IT management challenges. Today, Mr. Park is largely recognized within the many community banking circles as a top expert in the field of network architecture, server technologies, high availability system, multi-site disaster recovery, and high density messaging systems. His knowledge of how technology operates within the parameters of regulatory compliance has made him an invaluable asset to his clients.

John Kang

Title: Senior Analyst

Mr. Kang joined Northstar Technologies in 2008 and brought a new dimension in Small Medium Business consulting leadership. Initially heading Northstar’s SMB division and that segment’s special needs, he quickly moved into regulated industries. His greatest contribution to date has been the reorganizing and restructuring Northstar’s central management infrastructure so that it more efficiently handles supporting our clients’ systems. He currently heads Northstar’s network operations center (NOC) as well as advice clients on system design. Prior to joining Northstar, Mr. Kang owned and operated a network consulting firm from 1998-2008. His more than 15 years of IT experience has been a great benefit to Northstar.

Chang Koo

Title: Senior Analyst

Mr. Koo joined Northstar Technologies in 2005 and since then has been a leader in every department from help desk to inside sales. Mr. Koo currently helps Northstar’s clients architect systems and infrastructure based on information correlation between the client’s needs and best of breed vendors. He also heads our VoIP implementations and Microsoft Sharepoint development. But his true talents lie in information security. Throughout the course of Mr. Koo’s career, he has performed countless security scans and penetration tests on financial institutions to help harden their security posture. His knowledge of security concepts and vulnerability are in great demand.
